Active substances

Eggbrane® is a pure eggshell membrane consisting many useful elements for health and wellbeing. It is a natural, non-chemically modified product and therefore it is insoluble. Naturally, in addition to the substances normally being present in joint-protecting products, it contains other substances which are essential for bone and skin health such as:

Hundreds of proteins approx. 80 % (Methionin, Cystein, Growth factor β, Elastin, Desmosin..etc.)
Hyaluronic acid approx. 4 %
Collagen types I, V and X approx. 10-12 %
Chondroitin sulphate approx. 2%
Glucosamine approx. 2%
Lysozyme approx. 1%
Keratine approx. 1%

Collagen
Collagen makes up about a third of the total protein of the human body and forms different network-like structures in the skin, hair, tendons, ligaments and cartilage. Collagen thus gives our bones strength and stability. According to the current state of knowledge, it is believed that about 10 g per day are needed in order to achieve positive effects on mobility, but also on the quality of skin and hair. Scientific studies have shown that collagen hydrolyzate accumulates in the joints when administered orally. Further studies have shown that the mobility of athletes whose joints are stressed due to increased physical activity is less restricted when they take collagen hydrolyzate. The substances glucosamine and chondroitin are, however, also very important. For example, a reduction in joint sounds was observed after the administration of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate in various studies.

Glucosamine and chondroitin
Glucosamine and chondroitin are cartilage precursor substances that stimulate the synthesis of cartilage in the body. Cartilage in particular assumes the role of a “shock absorber” in the joints, in order to ensure that our bones do not rub against one another and wear out. Chondroitin provides a high water retention capacity in the cartilage tissue, so that it supports the normal elasticity and thereby the damping effect in the joints and spine.
Glucosamine and chondroitin also have a positive impact on all connective tissues and tissue forms, which consist of collagens. They support the nutrient supply of the cartilage, which makes the joint more resistant to degradation. Chondroitin additionally stimulates the formation of natural glucosamine and can counteract the degradation of collagen in the cartilage and connective tissue.

Origin and quality of ingredients:

Glucosamine, chondroitin and collagen are generally of natural origin. They are normally obtained and isolated from the bone, cartilage, skin or shells of shellfish and crustaceans in a multi-step processes.
